Authorization Request Turn Around Times
Routine Complete (all information included) Authorization: up to 5 working days
o Extension for Incomplete Routine Authorization: up to 45 calendar days
Clinically Urgent Complete Authorization: up to 72 hours
o Extension for Incomplete Urgent Authorization: up to 48 hours
Post-Service (retroactive) Complete Authorization: up to 30 calendar days
o Extension for Incomplete Post-Service: up to 45 calendar days
